The company will distribute PPE as part of efforts to combat Coronavirus
This week, the city of Salvador is receiving donations from BRF, one of the largest food companies in the world, to help fight the Coronavirus. The company will distribute 22,500 surgical masks and 9,400 thousand PFF2 masks to the Municipal Health Department. This equipment will be donated to the Emergency Care Unit of the district of Valeria and to the Family Health Unit of the district of Palestine, for use by health professionals.
The action is part of the BRL 50 million announced by BRF in April in donations in food, medical supplies and support for research and social development funds, to contribute to efforts to combat the effects of the pandemic. The initiative, coordinated with the BRF Institute, reaches hospitals, social assistance organizations and health professionals in the states and municipalities in which the company operates.
In all, in hospitals alone, including field hospitals, donations should favor more than 15,000 people/day, through more than 2.5 million meals. As a global company, the Company extends this initiative to countries where it has production units, such as Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
