In addition to aprons, face shields and masks, donations amount to 600 test kits
One of the largest food companies in the world, this week BRF delivered personal protective equipment and test kits for Covid-19 to the Health Departments of three municipalities in Santa Catarina, following the donations they have made in recent months to strengthen the fight against the pandemic. This time the municipalities served were Ouro, Zortéa and Capinzal. On Wednesday (19), 400 aprons (polypropylene gowns), 70 face shields, 30 PFF2 masks and 200 testing units for Gold, 400 aprons, 76 face shields and 400 testing units for Zortéa and 400 aprons for Capinzal were delivered.
The action is part of the BRL 50 million announced by BRF in early April in donations in food, medical supplies and support for research and social development funds, to contribute to efforts to combat the effects of the pandemic. The initiative reaches hospitals, social assistance organizations and health professionals in the states and municipalities in which the company operates.
In all, in hospitals alone, including field hospitals, donations benefit more than 15,000 people/day, through about 2.5 million meals. As a global company, the Company extends this initiative to countries where it has production units, such as Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
