The company is allocating food, face shields and masks to Goiás, Mato Grosso and Minas Gerais
BRF, one of the largest food companies in the world, continues to make donations to contribute to actions to combat COVID-19 and its effects on society. Through a partnership between the BRF Institute and União BR, a national movement of volunteers working in the pandemic, the company is allocating food and personal protective equipment. The states of Goiás, Mato Grosso and Minas Gerais will benefit, but the Company also continues to operate in other regions of the country, especially in the places where it has operations.
Altogether, more than 130 tons of food, 7,700 face shields and 12,200 fabric masks will be donated. The volunteers, coordinated through União GO, União MG and União MT, allocate the donations through partnerships in the cities, such as that with Central Única das Favelas de Minas Gerais. The action will allow more than 300 local organizations and families to be covered by the donations. As volumes are high, deliveries are expected to be completed in the first half of April.
