UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL IN PONTA GROSSA RECEIVES DONATION FROM BRF

Company donates food to combat the effects of Coronavirus

Ponta Grossa (PR) receives donations from BRF, one of the largest food companies in the world, to assist in the fight against Coronavirus. The company provided food to the institution Hospital Universitário Regional Wallace Thadeu de Mello e Silva, the well-known Hospital Universitário de Ponta Grossa.

The action is part of the BRL 50 million announced by BRF earlier this month in donations in food, medical supplies and support for research and social development funds, to contribute to efforts to combat the effects of the pandemic. The initiative will include hospitals, social assistance organizations and health professionals in the states and municipalities in which the company operates.

In all, for hospitals alone, including field hospitals, donations should favor more than 15,000 people/day, through about 2.5 million meals over the next three months. As a global company, the Company will extend this initiative to countries where it has production units such as Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
